We have been running systematic instruction training courses in Supported Employment together for over 18 years. We believe that people with disabilities have the right to lead valued and meaningful lives as fully participating members of our society.
Historically, people considered too disabled to work, or be independent, have experienced marginalisation segregation and congregation and have been seen as objects of pity and charity. Unfortunately, those of us responsible for providing support can inadvertently disempower people and make them unnecessarily dependant on our support and instructions. The course we offer intends to reverse this trend by enabling organisations to structure their support in such a way that maximises peoples potential to acquire skills and independence.
We
have delivered this workshop over a 17-year period
to Social Services, Education and Health Authorities, and
the Voluntary Sector. The workshop receives very positive feedback and
we would be happy to provide contact details of our previous customers.
Whilst nominally a five-day workshop, the course can be customised to
meet the individual needs of your organisation.
